Capcom vs SNK 2: Mark of The Millenium (Millionaire Fighting en Japón) es el sexto crossover de juegos de lucha de Capcom, y el segundo con la compania SNK-Playmore. Gráficamente es similar a su predecesor, los cambios llegaron en la mecánica de lucha y en la cantidad de personajes. Fue lanzado en el 2001 para la recreativa NAOMI, un año después para Sega Dreamcast y para Playstation 2 y después para Microsoft X-Box y Nintendo GameCube .1

El sistema de Grooves (Modos de lucha) fue reestructurado para elegir entre 6 modos de pelea distintos (tres de Capcom y tres de SNK) mas un modo oculto que combina características de ambos lados (el Groove EX). Los Ratios dejaron de ser fijos para que el jugador elija los personajes que quiera. Los Ratios los asigna el jugador a la hora de elegir sus peleadores, en este caso los equipos pueden ser de 1 a 3 integrantes. A diferencia del CvS original, el cual tenía los mismos botones de ataque que los juegos de SNK, CvS2 tiene 6 botones de ataque, al estilo Street Fighter

The King of Fighters '98 (con el subtitulo Dream Match Never Ends en Japón, o The Slugfest en Estados Unidos) es un juego de lucha de SNK para el sistema Neo Geo. Es el quinto videojuego de la serie King of Fighters. Esta entrega fue anunciada por SNK como una "edición especial" de la serie, ya que contó con la mayoría de los personajes aparecidos en los juegos anteriores (de KOF '94 al '97), incluyendo a los que habían muerto en la historia.

Versiones de KOF '98 fueron lanzadas en Neo Geo CD y PlayStation. También hubo una versión para Dreamcast llamada The King of Fighters: Dream Match 1999, con muchos de los escenarios re-hechos en 3D. Una década más tarde salió un remake para PlayStation 2 como The King of Fighters '98: Ultimate Match, el cual expande el número de personajes.

Al carecer de historia, SNK aprovechó para incluir a Rugal (quien había muerto en KOF '95), así como varias versiones alternativas de otros personajes. KOF '98 es comunmente considerado por muchas publicaciones como el mejor KOF debido a sus gráficos y accesible jugabilidad.
